We love the way this story is read – she asks lots of questions, asks for predictions, how it makes you feel, and there is lots of expression and fun. Enjoy!
We have two math activities:
1. Counting. Tell me the missing number. You can extend this by drawing your own ice creams or even just little boxes and have your child fill in the missing numbers..
2. We all love ice cream, but which flavour does your family enjoy the most? This is the beginning of charts and data. You can print the grid or draw one of your own. You could also graph favourite colours, foods, toys…
Who knew that ice cream could teach us so much?
