because everything starts with a seed…..
Every Spring, HIPPY sites across Canada celebrate World Literacy Day and International Reading Day by running a reading challenge
Using books very generously donated by First Book Canada (we say THANK YOU First Book) we give each of our HIPPY families 3 books for their own use. We also give them 3 books to give to another family.
The families are challenged to record the number of minutes and hours that they spend with their children enjoying the books and reading together. There is a prize for the most minutes recorded.
HIPPY Halton is proud to be a part of this tradition again this year. We will distribute 740 books to families in Milton, Oakville and Burlington and witness their enjoyment of the time they share together.
I wonder which family will record the most minutes or hours?
