Look around! Do you see a pattern?

Patterns are everywhere! Did you know that patterns are a foundational math skill?

Patterns help children to make predictions and to understand what comes next. They make connections and develop reasoning skills.

These activities will help your child to develop this valuable skill!

Make patterns from:

  • small snack foods - raisins, nuts, cookies,

  • coloured objects - red. blue, green, red, blue, green

  • outdoors, use twigs, leaves, stones.

Ask your child to continue the pattern you make too!
