Grumpiness can be useful??

SundaySeeds

because everything starts with a seed....

It has been a busy few weeks!

Sometimes when we are tired we get grumpy! But even grumpiness can be used to as a teachable moment!

When we encourage our children to express their feelings, they learn appropriate ways of doing so.

It also builds the foundation of good communication . As Daniel Bobinski wrote “Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don’t listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won’t tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”

You can use your child’s grumpiness like this:

Did you know that even birds can get grumpy? Listen to the story of the Grumpy Bird https://bit.ly/3pDFDJ7

and then see if you can make a bird with your handprint or your footprint.

Draw around your hand or your foot. Be sure to include your fingers and toes.

Colour and decorate your bird – does it look grumpy or happy? We hope that 2021 is a happy and healthy year for you and your family.
