In October last year, in our Facebook post we wrote about the number of school days children gain by being read to every day.
February 5th is World Read Aloud Day. People all over the world are asked to sign a pledge to read to children every day.
• The benefits are clear - children develop their imagination, their vocabulary and their language skills.
• Reading together is calming and allows you to bond with your child as you discuss the events and the characters in the story.
• Here are two YouTube links to stories by Robert Munsch, a beloved Canadian children’s author to get you started!
